Treatment of Obese Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on"Condition-Target Therapy"and"Gut-Pancreas-Ovary"Axis from Perspective of Spleen

Abstract
Spleen deficiency with Phlegm-Dampness is one of the important pathogenesis mechanisms of obese polycystic ovary syn-drome(PCOS).The Spleen governs transportation and transformation and is considered the"source of Phlegm".When the Spleen is deficient,the production of Qi and blood is insufficient,Fluid circulation is impaired,Dampness accumulates to form Phlegm,which ob-structs the uterus,leading to the development of PCOS.Modern research shows that inflammation mediated by gut microbiota imbalance induces disorders in glucose and lipid metabolism and insulin resistance(IR),which is closely related to the occurrence of PCOS.From the perspective of the"gut-pancreas-ovary"axis,the mechanism of treating obese PCOS from perspective of Spleen is explored.For the pathological condition of Spleen deficiency with Phlegm-Dampness,Cangfu Daotan Decoction is selected as the targeted prescrip-tion to strengthen the Spleen,reduce Dampness,resolve Phlegm,and regulate Qi.Key symptoms such as obesity,menstrual irregulari-ties,hair loss,acne,and infertility serve as the symptom targets,while IR,hyperandrogenism(HA),abnormal glucose and lipid metabo-lism,and gut microbiota imbalance serve as the markers.Symptom-targeted herbs are used to regulate menstruation,assist fertility,and reduce fat,while marker-targeted herbs address gut microbiota imbalance,IR,and HA.By simultaneously treating both pattern and tar-get,this approach addresses both the root and the branch,achieving comprehensive regulation and targeted prevention and treatment of obese PCOS.关键词
