Cost-consciousness among medical staff:a scoping review
摘要
Abstract
Objective To conduct a scoping review on the literature regarding the cost-consciousness of medical staff,to elucidate its current status,influencing factors,assessment methods,and interventions,and to provide reference for enhancing cost-consciousness of medical staff.Methods Employing scoping review framework,databases including Cochrane Library,Web of Science,CINAHL,SinoMed,CNKI and Wanfang were systematically searched from the inception to October 9,2024.Literature screening,summarization,and analysis were collaboratively conducted by 2 researchers.Results Forty-two studies were included,and most revealed poor cost-consciousness in medical staff.Two main methods to evaluate cost-consciousness were identified:cost estimation accuracy and cost-consciousness scales.Key determinants of healthcare professionals' cost-consciousness encompass demographic elements,cognitive and professional competency factors,and organizational environmental factors.Interventions currently included displaying cost information via electronic medical records,conducting reflective and practical workshops to promote rational use of medical resources,and game-based interactive education.Conclusion Cost-consciousness is generally low among medical staff,and is influenced by multiple factors.Future efforts should focus on developing localized assessment tools to evaluate cost-consciousness and on enriching intervention methods to effectively enhance it.关键词
