Abstract
To enhance the accuracy of fatigue life assessment for crane structures,an adaptive stress spectrum compilation method based on density was proposed.A density-based clustering algorithm identifies core stress clusters within rain-flow counting results, while key parameters are adaptively determined using a K-distance plot.Sparsely populated regions and isolated points are next refined through kernel-density estimation, allowing bin limits to self-optimize in response to the data's own distribution and thereby acquiring and preserving every critical stress information accurately.Benchmarked against conventional fixed-binning by the relative error in calculated fatigue damage, the method markedly reduces assessment bias, reproduces the true stress-cycle spectrum more faithfully, and furnishes a more reliable dataset for life assessment.关键词
