摘要

Abstract

This study evaluated the inhibitory effects of Guanghua Cream,an anti-aging body cream formulated with medicinal plants,on matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs).A UV-induced photoaging model was established on the dorsal skin of mice,followed by topical application of the cream to irradiated areas for several weeks.Subsequently,MMP levels in skin and blood,catalase(CAT)activity,collagen content in skin,and histological analyses of five major organs were performed.Results showed that Guanghua Cream downregulated UV-induced expression of MMP-1 and MMP-9 in skin and inhibited collagen fiber degradation,while enhancing CAT expression to exert antioxidant effects.The cream also suppressed MMP-1,MMP-3,and MMP-9 levels in blood,potentially contributing to delayed aging.H&E staining of mouse organs revealed no abnormalities,indicating that Guanghua Cream has high biological safety.
