Preparation and characterization of cellulose nanofiber-based cosmetics

Abstract
The feasibility of formulating cosmetics containing cellulose nanofibers(CNF)and evaluates their performance characteristics was explored.Both emulsion and cream formulations incorporating cellulose nanofiber were investigated to assess effects on moisturizing performance,stability,and safety.Results showed that cellulose nanofiber enhances emulsion stability,improves moisturizing efficacy,increases viscosity,and optimizes texture,while maintaining safety and non-irritating properties.Using cellulose nanofiber hydrogels as a matrix,the addition of a small amount of cellulose nanofiber can achieve the functional effect of 45%~50%of chemical surfactants in cosmetic formulations,enabling the preparation of emulsion and cream products with superior performance.关键词
