Abstract
As special equipment within major technical equipment and key industrial infrastructure,pressure vessels have been continuously developing toward extreme conditions in recent years.This trend manifests in extreme environments(higher or lower temperatures,higher pressures,stronger resistance to corrosive media),extreme scales(larger diameters,wall thicknesses,and heights),ultimate service life,and extreme material requirements(higher strength combined with better toughness),making it difficult for existing technologies,standards and codes to meet the requirements of extreme development.Meanwhile,the transformation in production methods demand that the design,manufacture,and maintenance of pressure vessels become greener and smarter to meet the needs of sustainable development.This paper reviews the technological progress in the design,manufacture,and maintenance of pressure vessels in China since the 14th Five-Year Plan,analyzes the technological needs and challenges related to pressure vessels in future technology and industry,proposes several research recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan,and finally presents technology foresight for pressure vessels in areas such as hydrogen utilization,artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence,transportation,deep-sea/deep-space/deep-earth exploration,biological manufacturing,and extreme manufacturing and construction.关键词
