Research on defect imaging and quantification methods in magnetic flux leakage detection of ferromagnetic heat exchange tubes

Abstract
Aiming at the problem of insufficient defect detection accuracy of ferromagnetic heat exchange tubes,an imaging and quantification method for magnetic flux leakage detection of heat exchange tube defects was proposed.The equivalent magnetic circuit was constructed and the size parameters of the permanent magnet and the yoke were analyzed and determined by COMSOL software,and the magnetization structure of the probe was designed.A 16-channel array magnetic flux leakage detection probe was designed and developed to sense the disturbance in the magnetic permeability distribution caused by defects and achieve effective extraction of defect signals.The developed magnetic flux leakage detection probe was tested.The extracted signals were subjected to defect imaging,and the characteristic values of the defect signals were extracted.The least square method was used to quadratic fit the curve for quantitative research.The experimental results show that the designed detection probe can detect blind hole defects with a depth of 0.8 mm and crack defects with a width of 0.5 mm,meeting the detection requirements.The research results can provide a reference for the non-destructive detection of heat exchange tubes.关键词
