Abstract

Strontium is a mineral element beneficial to the human body,and drinking water is an important way for the human body to obtain strontium.In response to the new demands for strontium-rich mineralized drinking water,this paper selects celestite ore as the source of stronti-um and explores the effects of celestite mesh number,dosage and water flow rate on the dissolution and release of strontium from the ore under flow-through conditions.The research results show that 10 grams of 30~40 mesh number ore(0.425~0.6 mm)can produce about 2600 liter of water with a strontium concentration≥0.2 mg/L,which is 56.9%higher than that of 60~80 mesh ore 0.18~0.25 mm.For the same mesh number,when the dosage is 13 grams,the strontium concentration is still 0.32 mg/L after producing 3700 liter of water,and the water produc-tion is increased by more than 42.3%compared with 10 grams.When the mesh number and dosage are the same,as the flow rate increases from 0.5 L/min to 2 L/min the strontium concentration decreases,but the water production increases to 7800 liter.In addition,the 10-gram doped composite carbon prepared with 30~40 mesh 0.425~0.6 mm celestite ore can produce about 5800 liter of water at a flow rate of 2 L/min,which exceeds the requirements of China's national standard Level 1 water efficiency for water production life.Moreover,the concentration of metal ions in the produced water meets the standards,indicating that the studied celestite ore solution has practical application value.
