摘要

Abstract

Objective This study aimed to investigate the effects of game-based training integrated with family support on autism spectrum disorder(ASD)severity.behavioral improvement.social communication and interaction abilities in preschool children with ASD.as well as on parental stress.Methods Using a retrospective study design.a total of 90 preschool children with ASD who were treated at Kaifeng Children's Hospital from January 2023 to January 2025 were consecutively enrolled according to predefined criteria.They were assigned to a control group(n=45)and a study group(n=45)based on the specific intervention program.The control group received a conventional game-based training program.whereas the study group received an optimized game-based training program incorporating family support.The treatment duration was 12 weeks for both groups.with 3-4 sessions per week.Before and after treatment.ASD severity.behavioral status.social communication ability.and parental stress were assessed using the Clancy Autism Behavior Scale(CABS).the Autism Behavior Checklist(ABC).the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule Second Edition(ADOS-2).and the Parenting Stress Index-Short Form(PSI-SF).respectively.Results After treatment.CBS scores decreased in both groups compared with baseline.and the study group had lower scores than the control group.with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment.ABC scores decreased in both groups compared with baseline.and the study group had lower scores than the control group.with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment.ADOS-2 scores decreased in both groups compared with baseline.and the study group had lower scores than the control group.with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment.PSI-SF scores decreased in both groups compared with baseline.and the study group had lower scores than the control group.with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Game-based training integrated with family support can effectively improve ASD symptoms.behavioral performance.and social communication abilities in preschool children with ASD.while alleviating parental stress and enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
