企业气候风险、国家适应气候变化战略与人力资本结构升级
Corporate climate risks,national climate change adaptation strategies,and the upgrading of human capital structure

Abstract
Against the backdrop of frequent global climate disasters and the ongoing efforts toward the achievement of the"dual car-bon"goals,comprehensively understanding the micro-impacts of corporate climate risks and clarifying the actual effectiveness of na-tional climate change adaptation strategies have become a focus of social attention.This study constructed a climate risk index at the corporate level based on the frequency statistics from annual report texts of listed companies,explored the impact of climate risk on the upgrading of corporate human capital,and tested the policy effects of the climate-adaptive city construction pilot projects and sponge city construction demonstration city policies.Using data from listed companies from 2010 to 2022,the study found that the overall in-crease in climate risks harmed the advanced development of corporate human capital structure.Mechanism tests suggested that an in-crease in climate risks reduced corporate R&D investment,causing enterprises to deviate from specialized operations and lowering their salary payment levels.Heterogeneity analyses showed that the inhibitory effect of climate risks on the upgrading of corporate human capital structure was weaker in state-owned enterprises,heavily polluting enterprises,large enterprises,and enterprises in industries with lower product market competition,but stronger for firms located in regions with lower levels of marketization and human capital supply.At the same time,physical risks promoted the upgrading of corporate human capital structure,while transformation risks inhibit-ed it.Further analysis revealed that the implementation of climate-adaptive city construction pilot projects and sponge city construction demonstration city policies was beneficial in mitigating the inhibitory effect of climate risks on the upgrading of corporate human capital structure.This study provides a systematic analysis of the relationship between climate risks and the upgrading of corporate human capi-tal structure,highlighting the major significance of national climate change adaptation strategies and providing important empirical evi-dence for how to promote the upgrading of corporate human capital structure and achieve high-quality economic development.关键词
