摘要

Abstract

To explore the effect of ozone water immersion on the vitality of maize(Zea mays L.)seeds and its molecular mechanism,using the maize inbred line B73 as the material,the seeds were soaked in deionized water and ozone water for 12 hours respectively,and then cultivated in a constant temper-ature climate chamber.The activities of antioxidant enzymes were determined at 0 days,1.5 days and 4 days of seed germination.Meanwhile,transcriptome sequencing was performed to screen for differ-entially expressed genes,and GO and KEGG enrichment analyses were carried out.The results showed that,compared with the control,ozone water treatment significantly increased the germina-tion rate,germination potential,germination index,root length and bud length of maize seeds.The activities of CAT,POD and SOD in ozone water treatment were significantly higher than those in the control group at 0 days,1.5 days and 4.0 days.Transcriptome analysis revealed that there were 4 972 differentially expressed genes(3 327 up-regulated and 1 645 down-regulated)between the two treat-ment groups,mainly enriched in GO items such as REDOX enzyme activity,membrane protein com-plexes,and secondary metabolite synthesis,as well as KEGG pathways such as indole alkaloid bio-synthesis.Studies had shown that ozone water soaking of seeds could affect the biosynthesis of indole alkaloids by regulating the activity of antioxidant enzymes,thereby enhancing the vitality of maize seeds.
