山银花复方中药牙膏治疗成人慢性牙龈炎的临床疗效研究
Clinical study on the therapeutic effect of Lonicera confusa compound Chinese herbal toothpaste for adult chronic gingivitis

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Lonicera confusa compound Chinese herbal toothpaste in inhibiting plaque and improving chronic gingivitis in adults,providing evidence for clinical application.Methods This study adopted a randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled design.A total of 100 adult pa-tients diagnosed with chronic gingivitis were enrolled and randomly assigned to either the experimental group or the control group in a 1∶1 ratio,with 50 cases in each group.The experimental group used Lonicera confusa compound Chinese herbal toothpaste,while the control group used ordinary toothpaste without herbal ingredients.Both groups brushed their teeth using the Bass method(twice daily,≥ 3 minutes each time)for 3 months.Changes in gingival index(GI),plaque index(PLI),bleeding index(BI),and stain intensity(SI)were com-pared,and clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated.Results Of the enrolled subjects,97 completed the study protocol at the end of the study,comprising 48 individuals in the experimental group and 49 in the control group.After 3 months,the experimental group exhibited significantly lower GI,BI,and PLI levels compared to the con-trol group(P＜0.01).The total efficacy rate in the experimental group reached 91.67％(44/48),exceeding that of the control group at 75.51％(37/49).Moreover,the rate of marked improvement in the experimental group(60.4％)was notably superior to that observed in the control group(16.3％,P＜0.001),while the differ-ence in SI between the two groups did not reach statistical significance groups(pigmentation rate＜10％),and the incidence of adverse reactions was low with no statistical difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion Lonicera confusa compound Chinese herbal toothpaste can effectively inhibit plaque formation,reduce gingival inflammation,and improve chronic gingivitis symptoms in adults with good safety,serving as an auxiliary treatment for chronic gin-givitis.关键词
