Cognition and Protection of Cultural Heritage Characteristics of Zhejiang East Canal From the Perspective of Urban Historical Landscape in the New Period

Abstract
The Zhejiang East Canal is a significant component of China's Grand Canal,which is recognized as a World Cultural Heritage site.Utilizing the theory and methodology of Historic Urban Landscape,this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the integral,dynamic,stratified,and regional characteristics of the Zhejiang East Canal's cultural heritage.It explores and interprets its core representation and profound connotations,including the unity of its ontology and background,the organic evolution of its genetic elements and cellular units,the layered accumulation of historical and contemporary elements,and the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.Based on this analysis,a multi-level and multi-dimensional framework for the cultural heritage elements of the Zhejiang East Canal is constructed.Furthermore,integrating digital and artificial intelligence technologies of the new era,the study explores pathways and strategies for the comprehensive display,precise dissemination,preservation,inheritance,supervision,and management of the Zhejiang East Canal's cultural heritage.This research effectively responds to the national call to"fully integrate the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural heritage into urban and rural development,"thereby contributing to the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture.关键词
