Developing rural cultural industries in the process of Chinese modernization:Significance,practical dilemmas,and development pathways

Abstract
In the process of Chinese modernization,empowering rural revitalization through the development of rural cultural industries constitutes a major task related to the overall strategic interests of the Party and the state.Developing rural cultural industries serves as a practical approach to addressing the challenges of large-scale modernization,an important vehicle for promoting urban-rural common prosperity,a practical paradigm for coordinating material and spiritual civilization,and a sustainable pathway for fostering harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.Through in-depth analysis,this study finds that the current development of rural cultural industries faces multiple constraints,including insufficient cultural leadership in rural areas,weak farmer subjectivity,lack of distinctive branding,inadequate allocation of resource factors,and limited sustainability.These challenges have significantly hindered the role of rural cultural industries in supporting rural revitalization within the framework of Chinese modernization.Accordingly,this study argues that the development of rural cultural industries should focus on revitalizing rural cultural leadership,building development communities with farmers as the principal actors,creating distinctive local brands rooted in rural culture,promoting the effective flow of resource factors toward rural areas,and enhancing the sustainability of industrial development.This research provides theoretical insights and practical guidance for advancing rural cultural industries and promoting rural revitalization in the context of Chinese modernization.关键词
