跨境电商与全球价值链嵌入:机理及实证研究
Cross border e-commerce and global value chain embedding:Mechanism and empirical research

Abstract
Against the backdrop of rising anti-globalization,cross-border e-commerce has increasingly emerged as an important breakthrough for deepening participation in the international division of labor and overcoming the dilemma of"low-end lock-in".Based on the panel data from 53 countries engaged trade with China over the period 2008 to 2020,this study empirically examines the impact mechanisms of cross-border e-commerce development on global value chain(GVC)embeddedness.The results indicate the follows.Firstly,the development of cross-border e-commerce significantly enhances the level of global value chain embeddedness,and this finding remains robust after a series of robustness checks.Secondly,cross-border e-commerce contributes positively to global value chain embeddedness in lower-middle-income countries,while exerting a negative effect in middle and upper-income countries.Thirdly,mechanism analysis reveals that cross-border e-commerce promotes GVC embeddedness primarily through the cost reduction effect and the synergistic agglomeration effect,whereas the technology spillover effect is not significant through the empirical test.To further strengthen the role of cross-border e-commerce in promoting GVC embeddedness,it is necessary to improve the foudational environment for cross-border e-commerce,and implement differentiated support policies tailored to countries at different income level,strengthen talent cultivation,improve logistics systems,create cross-border e-commerce industry clusters,and provide more comprehensive financial service support.关键词
