Research advances in SIRT3 in hyperlipidemia and vascular endothelial function impairment

Abstract
SIRT3 is an enzyme located in the mitochondria that has stable mitochondrial deacetylation activity.It regulates mitochondrial proteins through deacetylation and plays a crucial role in maintaining redox balance,regulating energy metabolism,and modulating mitochondrial dynamics.SIRT3 can improve vascular endothelial function by regu-lating mitochondrial function,and maintenance of vascular endothelial function is a key link in the prevention and treat-ment of hyperlipidemia.Therefore,it is of great importance to explore the effect of SIRT3 in the prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia by analyzing its impact on vascular endothelial function.Meanwhile,with reference to the traditional Chinese medicine etiology and pathogenesis of hyperlipidemia and vascular endothelial injury,this article proposes the hypothesis that the change in SIRT3 is associated with viscera/bowels,Qi-blood,and Yin/Yang in traditional Chinese medicine,which may provide new ideas of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for theoretical research into the treatment of hyperlipidemia.关键词
