摘要

Abstract

[Objective]This study aims to establish a comprehensive evaluation system for the shade tolerance of flower border plants in Nantong area,addressing the lack of scientific basis for plant selection in semi-shaded environments.[Method]Based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),a model was constructed with three criterion layers(ornamental value,ornamental period,and adaptability)and ten specific evaluation indicators.Through expert scoring and weight calculation,42 selected flower border plants were quantitatively assessed and classified.[Result]Weight analysis revealed that ecological adaptability(weight 0.1771)and community stability(weight 0.1771)were the core indicators determining the application value of shade-tolerant plants.Based on comprehensive scores,the plants were classified into four grades:13 species as Grade I(≥4.0 points),characterized by vigorous growth,high ornamental value,and low maintenance requirements,are recommended as core materials for shady flower borders:13 species as Grade II(≥3.5 points),suitable for selective application:8 species as Grade III(≥3.0 points),which can be used cautiously as accents:and 8 species as Grade IV(<3.0 points),which are not recommended for use.[Conclusion]The evaluation system established in this study combines scientific rigor with practical applicability,and its results can be directly applied to the selection and configuration of plants for flower borders in semi-shaded environments.It holds significant practical value for advancing the development of low-maintenance and sustainable landscape architecture.
