Abstract
The success of the U.S.shale oil and gas revolution has not only propelled the United States to be the world's largest producer of oil and gas,reshaping the global energy landscape,but also offered significant insights for the development of shale oil and gas and other unconventional resources in China.This achievement stems primarily from the synergistic interplay of conceptual shifts,technological advances,and management enhancements.In organizing production,it emphasizes whole-life-cycle management,with a focus on integration and coordination,specialization and collaboration,market-driven operations,societal support,digital management,and green development,effectively demonstrating the engineering methodology termed"One Engine with Six Gears".Furthermore,it also facilitated technological progress by comprehensive micro-scale foundational experiments,macro-scale mineral testing,pursuit of maximum efficiency,stringent cost control,and sustained performance enhancement.The paper proposes that China appropriately navigate the dialectical relationships between"operator and contractor","effectiveness and speed"and"economics and technology"in its shale oil and gas development,and fully implement the"One Engine with Six Gears"engineering methodology,and make efforts to break through the"system barrier","entry barrier","exit barrier","foundational barrier"and"improvement barrier"in production and operation to accelerate China's own shale revolution and safeguard national energy security.关键词
