Abstract
In order to explore the hypolipidemic effect of lotus leaf extract on the high-fat-fed mice,the experiment divided the mice into the blank group,model group,and dose groups.The dose groups included the low-dose group,medium-dose group,and high-dose group,which were intragastrically administered with 2 mL,4 mL,and 6 mL lotus leaf extract,respectively.The model group and all dose groups were fed with high-fat diet to establish the hyperlipidemia model.After six weeks of continuous intervention,the body weight,organ indices,and blood lipid levels of the mice were recorded.The results showed that the lotus leaf extract had a significant inhibitory effect on the food intake and body weight of mice(P<0.05),with more pronounced weight reduction effects as the dosage increased.While no significant changes were observed in the thymus index,kidney index,or spleen index of mice across all dose groups,the Lee's index,liver index,and epididymal fat index showed a trend of recovery to normal levels.The lotus leaf extract could effectively alleviate the obesity and metabolic burden caused by high-fat diet in mice.In terms of blood lipids,each dosage of lotus leaf extract could significantly reduce the serum total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG)and low-density lipoprotein(LDL)levels,and increase the high density lipoprotein(HDL)levels(P<0.05).In conclusion,a certain dosage of lotus leaf extract could effectively regulate the disorder of blood lipid metabolism in mice induced by high-fat diet,which provided theoretical basis for the development of functional foods or pharmaceuticals.关键词
