Analysis of the Characteristics,Problems,and Trends in the Employment of College Graduates

Abstract
The employment of college graduates is a crucial issue concerning national talent development and people's livelihood stability.During the"15th Five-Year Plan"period,this issue should become a top priority in employment work.This study conducts an empirical analysis of survey data on the employment status of college graduates nationwide from 2003 to 2025.It summarizes the main characteristics of graduate employment from seven aspects:post-graduation destinations,employment quality,employment distribution,employment mobility,employment perceptions,employability,and influencing factors.It highlights prominent problems from five perspectives:refusal of available jobs,jobs unrelated to one's field of study,low quality of education related to majors and employment,mismatch between educational supply and market demand,and significant income disparities based on educational background and institution.Moreover,the study also analyzes and forecasts the employment situation of college graduates during the"15th Five-Year Plan"period from three aspects:macro policies,educational supply,and market demand,providing a data foundation and decision-making support for achieving China's goal of high-quality and full employment.关键词
