摘要
Abstract
During the quenching heat treatment process of wear-resistant steel on a certain heat treatment production line, batch production of flaky white defects occurred. These defects were distributed across the entire upper and lower surfaces of the steel plates, with the middle of the plates being concave and the edges raised, resulting in a plate flatness deviation exceeding 8~14 mm/2 m.Microstructural and compositional analysis of the white defects using microscopic tools revealed extremely high levels of oxygen, magnesium, and silicon.Analysis concluded that the white substance was primarily scale-like material, leading to uneven cooling of the steel plates.Consequently,an analysis of the quenching cycle water quality revealed high calcium and magnesium ion content, indicating hard water.Additionally,an examination of the furnace atmosphere inside the heating furnace found that residual oxygen levels also contributed to the formation of white spot defects.Based on the defect cause analysis, corresponding improvement measures were formulated.Through the implementation of these measures, the white spot defects were eliminated, and the plate shape quality returned to normal.关键词
