Research and implementation of color image encryption using DNA encoding and mapping techniques

Abstract
A method combining DNA encoding and mapping techniques for color image encryption and decryption was introduced.Pixel values of images were converted into DNA sequences,followed by the application of the mapping technique to randomly permute these sequences,thereby achieving the encryption process.The decryption process was carried out by applying an inverse mapping technique to restore the original image.To validate the effectiveness of this method,neighborhood pixel correlation analysis and information entropy calculations were conducted to assess the security and randomness of the encrypted images.The experimental results indicated that this encryption technique significantly reduced pixel correlation and increased information entropy,effectively enhancing the confidentiality and unpredictability of image data.The encrypted images demonstrated a notable improvement in security,indicating that this DNA encoding and mapping-based image encryption method not only enhanced data confidentiality but also provided an innovative solution in the field of image encryption.关键词
