Abstract

The surface of stainless steel mesh substrate was modified by dopamine self-polymerization,Stober reaction of silane,and cross-linking polyvinyl alcohol,so as to prepare the micro-nano polydopamine-crosslinking polyvinyl alcohol modified steel mesh with underwater superoleophobic materials.The surface morphology characterization and element analysis of the materials were carried out using SEM and energy spectrometer.The infiltration,durability,and oil-water separation performance of the material were evaluated.According to the experiment result,the micro-nano polydopamine-crosslinking polyvinyl alcohol modified steel mesh has a contact angle of 0°,with a contact angle of over 150° with oil underwater,exhibiting a special wettability of superhydrophilicity and superoleophobicity underwater.Modified stainless steel mesh with a mesh size below 300 has good water flux and oil-water separation efficiency,with an oil-water separation efficiency of over 97%.Underwater superoleophobic materials have good temperature tolerance and durability in crude oil wastewater,showing a high application prospect in oil-water separation of industrial oily wastewater.
