摘要

Abstract

Ruminants generally exhibit low utilization efficiency of dietary nitrogen,which is a major contributor to increased nitrogen emissions,environmental pollution,and wastage of feed resources.In re-cent years,growing scholarly attention has been directed toward mitigating methane emissions.This re-view focuses on elucidating the key factors influencing nitrogen digestion,absorption,and metabolism in ruminants,including the ruminal degradation rate of nitrogenous compounds and the urea-nitrogen recy-cling process.It also provides a systematic review of recent research advances in modulating nitrogen cyc-ling to improve nitrogen use efficiency in ruminants,aiming to offer insights for promoting green and sus-tainable development in animal husbandry.
