西印度洋重要经济渔业资源及其与环境因子关系研究进展
Research progress on important commercial fishery resources and their environmental drivers in the western Indian Ocean
摘要
Abstract
The western Indian Ocean is one of the most important fishing grounds in the world and for China, with abundant fishery resources.Under the backdrop of global marine fishery resource decline, the rational development and utilization of fisheries in this region has become a major concern. In this study, statistical data from the Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO),relevant academic literature, and regional research findings were systematically collected and analyzed to examine the distribution of fishery resources, major economic species, production trends, environmental drivers(monsoon, sea surface temperature,Indian Ocean dipole events),and species-specific responses to environmental variability in the western Indian Ocean. The results show that this region harbors diverse fishery resources, with tunas, mackerels, and cephalopods being the dominant catch;fishery production has increased rapidly since the 1980s;and regional fisheries are highly dependent on monsoon-driven primary productivity while being significantly influenced by ocean-climate interactions.Although China has become an important participant in fisheries in this region in recent years, research gaps remain regarding small pelagic fisheries and the mechanisms of large-scale climate drivers.Overall, this study provides a comprehensive synthesis of fishery resource patterns and their environmental drivers in the western Indian Ocean, offering insights for the sustainable utilization and management of regional fisheries.关键词
