Online Detection Device for the Braking Distance of the Hoisting Mechanism of Overhead and Gantry Cranes Based on Rotary Encoders

Abstract
To address the problems of strong mechanical structure dependence,insufficient flexibility,and difficulty in real-time monitoring existing in the detection of the braking sliding amount of the hoisting mechanism of cranes,an online detection device based on a rotary encoder is designed and built.A rotary encoder is installed at the end of the drum shaft to collect the rotation amount of the drum in real time.At the same time,by combining the parameters of the wire rope's multiple and diameter,accurate calculation of the braking sliding distance is achieved,and the data is stored in real time.The main equipment used is a rotary encoder,through its precise measurement of the rotation angle of the drum,a mathematical conversion model between the rotation amount of the drum and the braking sliding amount is established,and a data acquisition frequency of 50 times per second is achieved through the PLC control system.The QD100/20 t overhead traveling crane is selected as the test platform for the experiment,and 50 sets of comparative tests are carried out under different load conditions.The results show that the measurement errors under different load conditions are stable within-0.2%to 1.9%,and the relative errors do not exceed 2%.This device has significant advantages in measurement accuracy and stability,effectively makes up for the shortcomings of traditional methods,provides an innovative solution with high precision and high response characteristics for the safety monitoring of cranes,strongly guarantees the safe and stable operation of cranes,and has broad prospects in practical engineering applications.关键词
