Abstract

To account for the size effect and the synergistic influence of multiple factors,experimental data of 1 625 shear-critical reinforced concrete(RC)beams were collected and organized.The grey correlation analysis method was adopted to identify that beam section height(size effect),shear-span ratio,longitudinal reinforcement ratio,and stirrup ratio are all key influencing factors of the shear capacity of RC beams.Through regression analysis,the influence laws of each factor were quantitatively revealed,and the modification coefficient of the size effect,the modification coefficient of the shear-span ratio,the influence coefficient of the longitudinal reinforcement ratio,and the shear safety reduction coefficient of the stirrup were further proposed.Finally,based on GB 50010-2010'Code for design of concrete structures',an improved calculation formula for the shear capacity of RC beams was established.The results show that the improved calculation formula can accurately reflect the quantitative influence laws of beam section height(size effect),shear-span ratio,longitudinal reinforcement ratio,and stirrup ratio on the shear capacity of RC beams.Compared with GB 50010-2010,the improved calculation formula provides a comprehensive consideration of influencing factors and demonstrates greater advantages in terms of average value,safety,and stability.
