Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationships among the expression of serum visinin-like protein 1(VILIP-1),a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with a thrombospondin type 1 motif member 13(ADAMTS13),and fibrinogen like protein 2(FGL2)in patients with traumatic brain injury(TBI)and the severity of the disease and prognosis.Methods A total of 165 TBI patients in the Department of Emergency,the First People's Hospital of Neijiang from May 2021 to May 2024 were enrolled as the trauma group,which were divided into mild(65 cases),moderate(57 cases)and severe(43 cases)according to GCS,and 100 healthy subjects were selected as the control group during the same period.ELISA method was applied to detect the levels of VILIP-1,ADAMTS13,and FGL2 in the serum of subjects.Logistic multiple factors were applied to analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of TBI patients.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was applied to analyze the predictive value of VILIP-1,ADAMTS13,and FGL2 levels for the prognosis of TBI patients.Results The levels of VILIP-1 and FGL2 in the serum of TBI patients were prominently higher than those in the control group,severe group>moderate group>mild group(P<0.05).The level of ADAMTS13 in the serum of TBI patients was prominently lower than that of the control group,severe group<moderate group<mild group(P<0.05).The serum levels of VILIP-1 and FGL2 in the poor prognosis group were prominently higher than those in the good prognosis group,and the level of ADAMTS13 was prominently lower than that in the good prognosis group(P<0.05).VILIP-1(OR=2.913,95%CI=1.499-5.661)and FGL2(OR=2.241,95%CI=1.325-3.789)were risk factors affecting the prognosis of TBI patients,while ADAMTS13(OR=0.835,95%CI=0.744-0.937)was a protective factor affecting the prognosis of TBI patients(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)values of serum VILIP-1,ADAMTS13,FGL2,and their combined prediction for the prognosis of TBI patients were 0.772,0.765,0.861,and 0.937,respectively.The combined prediction was superior to their individual predictions(Zcombination-VILIP-1=4.671,Zcombination-ADAMTS13=4.522,Zcombination-FGL2=3.328,P<0.05).Conclusions The increase of VILIP-1 and FGL2 and the decrease of ADAMTS13 are significantly associated with the condition and prognosis of TBI,and the combined detection can effectively predict the prognosis.关键词
