摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the technical key points,clinical efficacy and advantage mechanism of resection of petroclival region tumors via neuroendoscopic far-lateral supracerebellar infratentorial approach(EFL-SCITA),so as to provide reference for clinical practice.Methods The clinical data of 7 patients with petroclival region tumors who underwent surgical resection via EFL-SCITA in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2020 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The intraoperative technical key points and postoperative efficacy were analyzed.Results Among the 7 patients,5 had total tumor resection and 2 had subtotal resection.Postoperative pathology confirmed 2 cholesteatomas and 5 meningiomas.None of the 7 patients suffered from nerve injury,and 1 meningioma patient developed cerebellar contusion and edema postoperatively.No deaths occurred.Followed up for 1~2 years,all 7 patients lived normally without recurrence.Conclusions Resection of petroclival region tumors via EFL-SCITA has the advantages of minimal trauma,clear vision,and less complications,especially in protecting nerve function and improving the total tumor resection rate,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
