Abstract
The effect of silica fume on the performance of cement-stabilized crushed stone mixtures was investigated through unconfined compressive strength tests,flexural strength tests,drying shrinkage and temperature shrinkage tests,dynamic water scouring tests,freeze-thaw cycling tests,and bending fatigue tests.The results show that:the addition of silica fume significantly enhances the early strength,thermal shrinkage resistance,and drying shrinkage resistance of cement-stabilized crushed stone mixtures.It also improves durability against dynamic water scouring,freeze-thaw cycling,and fatigue.Specifically,incorporating 8.0%silica fume increases the flexural strength of cement-stabilized crushed stone by over 25.0%,reduces the average drying shrinkage coefficient by 25.1%,and lowers the average temperature shrinkage coefficient by 27.3%.Additionally,the slope of the fatigue equation decreases by approximately 1.0%,while the intercept of the fatigue equation increases by about 12.0%.关键词
