Flexible Grid-connected Power Control of the Grid-forming Inverter

Abstract
To address the problems of limited dynamic performance and low control flexibility in the traditional power control of grid-forming inverters,a flexible grid-connected power control method for grid-forming inverters is proposed.First,a proportional-integral(PI)droop-based grid-forming pow-er control strategy is designed to alleviate the tuning conflict between the droop and damping coefficients.A feedforward control method is then introduced to incorporate configurable zeros.By assigning these ze-ros,the second-order system is reduced to a first-order one,thereby achieving improved dynamic per-formance in both power reference tracking and grid frequency response.The proposed method allows cus-tomizable adjustment of settling time and ensures power dynamics without overshoot.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed power control strategy achieves overshoot-free tracking of the power refer-ence during transients,with dynamic settling times consistent with theoretical designs.Moreover,the in-verter autonomously responds to grid frequency and voltage variations,exhibiting strong robustness.Final-ly,an experimental platform for the grid-forming inverter was established,further verifying the correct-ness and effectiveness of the proposed method.关键词
