摘要

Abstract

In order to address the crack issues in the straight switch rail seat of bainitic steel railway turnouts for trams,a repair welding process for bainitic alloy steel turnouts was conducted using bainitic alloy steel blanks of the same material and specialized welding electrodes for alloy steel combined frog point rails(JD937).The results showed that after the repair welding process,the bonding between the base metal and the weld,as well as between weld layers,was satisfactory.The microstructure of the base metal was primarily bainitic,while the weld microstructure consisted mainly of bainite and retained austenite.The hardness of the weld matched well with that of the base metal,with a uniform hardness distribution across the welded joint.The impact toughness of the weld met the required service standards.Corresponding solutions were proposed for defects observed in the repair-welded specimens and technical issues encountered during field operations.This study provides valuable insights for both research and engineering applications of repair welding processes for bainitic alloy steel turnouts.
