Lightweight Design of the Swing Arm Assembly for Cotton Picker Baling Box

Abstract
In order to enhance the working performance of the baling mechanism of the six-row cotton harvesting and ba-ling integrated machine,the key component-rocker arm assembly was taken as the object,the lightweight design research of the rocker arm assembly of the packaging box was carried out by combining size optimization and topology optimization methods.Meanwhile,a comparative analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics before and after optimization was conducted.Through the optimized design,the mass of the side plate of the rocker arm assembly was reduced by 21%,the mass of the rotating roller was reduced by 20%,and the total mass was decreased by 16%,achieving a significant light-weight effect.At the same time,the maximum deformation remains essentially unchanged after optimization,the maximum equivalent stress was reduced by 31.567 MPa,and the natural frequency was increased,indicating that both the static and dynamic characteristics of the assembly had been significantly improved.These improvements reduce material redun-dancy and energy consumption while maintaining structural stiffness and strength,thereby enhancing the work efficiency and reliability of the equipment.Experimental results demonstrated that the optimized design not only enhanced the per-formance of the assembly but also possessed high feasibility and practicability.This study provided an effective method for the lightweight design of key components of agricultural machinery and offered support for the performance improvement and innovative development of cotton harvesting equipment.关键词
