Abstract
The term"prehospital"is increasingly used in military medicine and military medical service.This article is intended to explore the concept from both military-civilian and Chinese-foreign military perspectives before its range of applications within military medical service in China is summarized.Prehospital emergency care,which involves emergency treatment at the site and during evacuation,applies to peace-time emergency treatment by military medical institutions and hospitals at each level.However,in war time,its applications should be restricted to first aid and related medical treatment institutions.It is recommended that prehospital emergency care be distinguished from combat casualty care.关键词
