From Artificial Language to User Prompt:The Form Evolution of Information Retrieval Language

Abstract
[Purpose]User prompt is a natural language form associated with generative information retrieval,essentially represents users'intention expression from a linguistic perspective.It should be included in the development spectrum of information retrieval language to further expand the theoretical extension of information linguistics and provide reference for the cultivation of public prompt literacy.[Method]This article uses structural functional analysis to examine the morphological change of information retrieval language from artifi-cial language to user prompt.[Result/Conclusion]Research suggests that the compilation subject presents a generalization from expert systems to public participation,the compilation object presents an expansion from structured concept identification to personalized symbol combinations,and the structural function realizes the transformation from a noun dominated terminology set to a verb driven instruction set.The technical ideas of knowledge organization run through the entire development process of information retrieval language,and the inherent driving force for its development is the"user side sinking".The generative information retrieval paradigm is driving the functional evolution of information retrieval language from knowledge organization to intention expression,containing a value transition from lan-guage tool attributes to social attributes.关键词
