摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore changes in MRI characteristics before and after transarterial chemoembolization(TA-CE)and their relationship with tumor burden in patients with advanced liver cancer. Methods:A total of 130 patients with advanced liver cancer undergoing TACE in the hospital were enrolled as the research objects between January 2022 and De-cember 2024.All patients underwent MRI examinations both before and 3 months after TACE to compare the qualitative ima-ging characteristics.Tumor burden was evaluated before and after treatment and correlated with the imaging characteristics. Results:At the 3-month follow-up after TACE,qualitative imaging characteristics showed significant alterations.Specifical-ly,the incidence of smooth tumor margins and intratumoral necrosis increased significantly(53.08%vs 25.38%and 63.85%vs 31.54%,respectively;both P<0.008),whereas the presence of mosaic-like structure and satellite nodules de-creased significantly(36.92%vs 56.15%and 27.69%vs 51.54%,respectively;both P<0.008).Concurrently,the tumor burden score exhibited a significant reduction(5.66±1.03 vs 8.75±1.53,P<0.05).The reduction in tumor bur-den score was significantly associated with the following imaging features:smooth tumor margin(r=-0.200,P<0.05),intratumoral necrosis(r=-0.202,P<0.05),absence of satellite nodules(r=0.350,P<0.05),and absence of mosaic-like structure(r=0.267,P<0.05).Conclusion:Following TACE,patients with advanced liver cancer exhibited significant alterations in imaging characteristics, primarily characterized by tumor margin smoothing, intratumoral necrosis, and regression of satellite nodules and mosaic-like struc-ture.These changes were significantly associated with a reduction in tumor burden.关键词
