摘要
Abstract
Chronic periodontitis(CP)is a highly prevalent oral inflammatory disease,while oral squamous cell carcino-ma(OSCC)represents the most common oral malignancy,accounting for over 90%of all oral cancer cases.OSCC incidence and mortality are on the rise in younger age groups.This trend poses a significant public health challenge.Recent years have witnessed growing interest in the relationship between CP and OSCC,with the"inflammation-cancer transformation"being a major focus and research priority.This article reviews the relationship between CP and OSCC,focusing on the roles and re-lated regulatory mechanisms of major periodontal pathogens,inflammatory cytokines,and anti-inflammatory therapy in the occurrence and development of OSCC.This review aims to clarify the association between CP and OSCC and to provide a the-oretical basis for exploring potential preventive and therapeutic strategies against OSCC.关键词
