Link between"Subtle Yang and Taut Yin"in Thoracic Obstruction and Intravascular Environment Homeostasis Imbalance by Combining the Principle of Orderliness and Functionality Principle

Abstract
Coronary heart disease(CHD)falls under the category of"thoracic obstruction"in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).ZHANG Zhongjing summarized its pathogenesis as"subtle yang and taut yin",reflecting a state of"yin-yang disharmo-ny".Modern research considers CHD to result from atherosclerosis(AS)in the coronary arteries and related to the disruption of structural and functional homeostasis in the vascular environment,referred to as"disorder instability".Both theories identify the root cause of disease as a disturbance of homeostasis,suggesting that they can be mutually integrated.In TCM systems theory,the principles of orderliness and functionality are fundamental.The principle of orderliness holds that the human system is stable and orderly in health,whereas disease manifests as instability and disorder.The principle of functionality emphasizes that pathological changes in the human body primarily reflect functional alterations.In this study,instability and disorder link the concept of"yin-yang disharmony"with imbalances in internal environmental homeostasis,while functional abnormalities connect"subtle yang and taut yin"with vascular integrity damage,impaired blood flow,and abnormal blood components.Through these two principles,the pathological understanding of CHD in TCM and Western medicine is integrated,providing theoretical guidance and practical sugges-tions for its clinical treatment.关键词
