Mechanisms of Gegen Qinlian Decoction in Intervening Metabolic Cerebrovascular Disease Based on Brain-gut Axis
摘要
Abstract
China has the highest lifetime risk of stroke globally, with metabolic abnormalities as the primary risk factor.Metabolic cerebrovascular disease is a recently proposed concept, referring to cerebrovascular damage caused by the interaction of multiple metabolic risk factors.Targeting common regulatory pathways of these metabolic risk factors represents a key research direction for the prevention and treatment of metabolic cerebrovascular diseases.Gegen Qinlian Decoction(GQD),based on the brain-gut axis theory, exerts multi-component synergistic effects by integrating gut microbiota regulation, modulating glucose and lipid metabolism, improving insulin resistance, providing anti-atherosclerotic effects, and offering neurovascular protection. These mechanisms collec-tively regulate metabolic risk factors and provide novel scientific evidence supporting integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine strategies for metabolic cerebrovascular disease.Future studies should continue to explore the novel applications of classi-cal formulas, using approaches such as network pharmacology, transcriptomics, and metabolomics to further elucidate the main path-ways and mechanisms through which the active components of GQD intervene in metabolic cerebrovascular disease via the brain-gut axis, thereby providing a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of stroke and its chronic comorbidities.关键词
