Correlation Between Tongue Quality Parameters of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and Thromboelastography and Hemorheology

Abstract
Objective To explore the importance of tongue quality in the early diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)by observing the correlation between tongue quality parameters and the above-mentioned indicators.Methods Ninety-nine patients with DPN were selected.The tongue quality images of the patients were collected by a tongue image instrument.And By utilizing the internal functions of tongue image software for recognition,computation,and analysis,tongue substance images,traditional Chinese medicine tongue diagnosis results,and tongue substance parameters in terms of L,a,and b values are obtained.The venous blood of the patients was collected for the examination of TEG,hemorheology and routine items.The correlation between the tongue quality parameters and the various indicators of TEG and hemorheology was analyzed by the analysis of the multiple linear regression equation.Results There are differences in color and brightness among the tongue qualities of patients with DPN,and the color and brightness of the tongue quality are closely related to its characteristic parameters.The L value of the tongue root and the L value on the left side of the tongue edge were negatively correlated with FBG and HbA1c.The a value of the tongue tip was positively correlated with FBG and HbA1c.The b value of the tongue edge was negatively correlated with FBG and HbA1c.The L value of the tongue root and the L value on the right side of the tongue edge were negatively correlated with TC and TG.The a value in the middle of the tongue and the a value of the tongue root were positively correlated with TC and TG.The b value of the tongue edge was negatively correlated with TC and TG.The a value of the whole tongue was negatively correlated with the K value,and the L value on the right side of the tongue edge was negatively correlated with the MA value.The L value in the middle of the tongue and the L value on the left side of the tongue edge were negatively correlated with the whole blood viscosity at low shear rate.The L value of the tongue root and the L value of the tongue edge were negatively correlated with the whole blood viscosity at medium shear rate.The a value on the left side of the tongue edge and the a value of the tongue tip were positively correlated with the whole blood viscosity at medium shear rate.The value on the left side of the tongue edge was positively correlated with the whole blood viscosity at high shear rate.The L value on the left side of the tongue edge was negatively correlated with plasma viscosity.Conclusion Patients with a relatively red tongue quality and relatively low brightness tend to have higher values of fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,total cholesterol and triglycerides,and the more significant the hypercoagulable state of the blood is,suggesting that the tongue quality parameters are correlated with TEG and hemorheology.The changes in the tongue quality parameters of patients with DPN are sensitive and are basically consistent with the theories of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical conclusions,and can be used as a basis for the early diagnosis of DPN.关键词
