Abstract

During tunnel blasting excavation,the influence of fissure water on drilling and blasting operations cannot be neglected.Based on a tunnel excavation project in Sichuan Province,this study employs the dynamic finite element ABAQUS/LS-DYNA software to conduct a simulation study on the characteristics of underwater blasting under conditions.Three-dimensional numerical models of blast holes with varying water contents are constructed to analyze the relationship between water content in the blast holes and borehole wall pressure,as well as surrounding rock stress.The influence patterns of crack propagation in the rock mass near the free face are also explored.Furthermore,the article discusses the role of millisecond delay technology in controlling excessive damage to water-containing blast holes.The results indicate that as the borehole water content increases,the borehole wall pressure and surrounding rock stress rise significantly,the time for surrounding rock stress to reach its peak shortens,rock mass damage intensifies,and the time for stress waves to meet between adjacent blast holes gradually decreases.Water in the blast holes accelerates the propagation of stress waves,and the superposition effect of stress waves promotes crack propagation towards the free face.The application of millisecond blasting technology effectively avoids the generation of transverse cracks,thereby mitigating rock mass damage and improving the safety and efficiency of blasting operations.
