Numerical simulation of the wavefield responses of a ground-penetrating radar incorporating a physical antenna model

Abstract
Simulating the wavefield responses of a ground-penetrating radar(GPR)in the presence of a complex object using a numeri-cal or physical model can provide critical insights for better understanding real-world GPR records and accurately identifying the object.However,current numerical simulations rely primarily on simple point source models while neglecting the physical antenna,thus failing to accurately reflect the actual conditions.Based on the gprMax software,this study delved into the response process and characteristics of the GPR signal by integrating the GPR antenna model and the real-world detection scenario.The results demonstrate that the numeri-cal simulation incorporating the physical antenna model produced responses closer to the actual responses,providing more effective guidance compared to traditional point source simulations.关键词
