Coupling of"Four-Chain"Elements and the Development of New Quality Productivity:An Empirical Test Based on Listed Manufacturing Companies

Abstract
This paper utilizes the data of listed manufacturing companies in China from 2014 to 2023,constructs a capacity coupling model from a multi-dimensional collaborative perspective,and measures the coupling and coordination degree of the"four-chain"elements,namely the industrial chain,innovation chain,talent chain and capital chain.Then,the paper employs a bidirectional fixed effects model to investigate its impact on new quality productivity,and from the perspectives of optimizing the labor force structure and resource allocation of enterprises,examines the mediating effects of employment polarization and capital accumulation,revealing the mechanism of the coupling of the"four-chain"elements on the new quality productivity of the manu-facturing industry.Finally,the paper introduces the degree of marketization as a moderating variable to analyze the moderating role played by the external market environment in the process of the coupling of the"four-chain"elements influencing new quali-ty productivity.The research results go as follows:The coupling of the"four-chain"elements significantly enhances new quality productivity.Employment polarization and capital accumulation serve as crucial mediating variables,while the degree of marketi-zation further moderates the relationship between the two.For enterprises of different scales,regions and property rights natures,the impact effect of the coupling of the"four-chain"elements on new quality productivity is heterogeneous.Its promoting effect on small-scale enterprises,enterprises in Northeast China and non-state-owned enterprises is more significant.关键词
