Abstract

In order to effectively address the impact of system disturbances and current distortions caused by harmonic components on the stable operation of axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motors(AFPMSM),a method of harmonic suppression for AFPMSM based on extended sliding mode disturbance observer(ESMDO)is researched.Based on the analysis of current harmonics in AFPMSM,ESMDO is used to accurately estimate and compensate for the system disturbance caused by current harmonics.The coordinate transformation is used to convert the current harmonics to the d-q coordinate system.The fifth and seventh current harmonics are determined by means of the low-pass filter,and their deviation values and deviation change rates on the d and q axes are used as inputs to the fuzzy PI controller.After obtaining the additional compensation voltage,it is combined with the compensation output of the voltage compensation module,and finally applied to the d and q axes to realize the harmonic suppression in AFPMSM.The experimental results show that the proposed method can estimate and compensate for system disturbances caused by current harmonics,and the speed response curve of the AFPMSM has the smallest fluctuation amplitude and the shortest fluctuation duration.In comparison with before harmonic suppression,the three-phase current waveform curve is smoother and can maintain sine wave fluctuation characteristics.The content of the fifth and seventh harmonics is reduced to 0.21%and 0.19%,respectively,while the remaining harmonics approach 0.
