Re-Examination of Sports Professional Degree Category:Practical Constraints and Solutions

Abstract
The establishment of the sports professional degree category in China has existed for two decades.It has drawn considerable attention influenced by national policy guidance and market driving.This study focuses on the development and reform of the sports professional degree category.Employing the methods of literature review and expert interviews,it re-examines the category from the perspectives of disciplinary science,disciplinary classification,theoretical construction and the attributes of knowledge production.This study argues that the sports professional degree category meets the intrinsic requirements for disciplinary construction.Its disciplinary form belongs to the realm of"applied science",its type of constructing theory is a"source theory",and its production knowledge property is"practical knowledge".Currently,the category faces several practical challenges,including the need to refine its disciplinary paradigm due to parasitic and dependent development,the urgent requirement to elevate the status of constructing theory caused by the misunderstanding of the"source theory",and the yet-to-be-clarified logic of knowledge production.For further development,the sports professional degree category should change concepts to gradually refine its disciplinary paradigm through the idea of a"community of practice".It should strengthen theoretical confidence to prioritizing theoretical construction via"case-study"approaches.Furthermore,it should enhance organizational safeguards to stimulate knowledge innovation through the operational logic of"knowledge production mode Ⅲ".关键词
