Abstract
With ASEAN accelerating its energy transition, regional power grid interconnectivity has emerged as a key area of regional cooperation. However, increased involvement by the United States and Japan in ASEAN power grids has created pressures in terms of regulations, standards, and financing competition. This paper reviews the development, current status, and major projects of the ASEAN power grid, analyzes the member states'needs and approaches to grid interconnection, and summarizes the strategic motives of U.S.and Japanese engagement and the potential impacts on China. On such basis, the study systematically discusses China's practical experience, strategic necessity, and comparative advantages in participating in ASEAN power grid development, and proposes multi-dimensional policy recommendations, including optimizing geographic deployment, engaging in early-stage planning, establishing demonstration projects, building technological innovation systems, and conducting multi-level capacity-building initiatives. These measures aim to enhance China's technological leadership,rule-making influence, and influence in ASEAN power grid interconnectivity.关键词
