摘要

Abstract

In allusion to the problem of poor thermal uniformity in cylindrical lithium-ion batteries,a thermal management system coupling air-cooled impinging jet(ACIJ)and phase change material(PCM)is proposed.Numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the effects of jet hole arrangement,hole diameter,and airflow velocity on the maximum temperature and temperature uniformity of the battery.The ACIJ and PCM are compared with the performance of cooling of air-cooled coupled phase change system.The results show that under the conditions of airflow velocity of 2 m/s,jet hole diameter of 4 mm,and the use of case2 jet plate configuration,the maximum temperature of the battery was reduced to 40.06℃with the maximum temperature difference of 1.52℃.In comparison with the conventional air-cooling coupled PCM scheme,the maximum temperature of the scheme coupling ACIJ and PCM is decreased by 1.4℃,and the maximum temperature difference is reduced by 2.03℃.
