摘要
Abstract
To investigate the strength evolution of cemented paste backfill using the total tailings from a vanadium mine, this study eval-uated the reactivity of slag resources near the mine for preparing cementitious materials and conducted underground field trials for verifi-cation.Laboratory test results indicate that the total tailings of the mine are relatively coarse, with particles finer than 75 μm accounting for only29.9%,and have a high sulfur content, which adversely affects the strength development of the backfill. The slag exhibits a specific surface area of 431 m2/kg and a reactivity index of 95%,demonstrating high activity suitable for developing new cementitious materials.Accordingly,a novel slag-based P3 cementitious material was successfully developed.Under a solids concentration of 76%,core samples of the backfill prepared with the developed slag-based cementitious material showed a 347%increase in 14-day strength and a 313%increase in 28-day strength compared to cement-based backfill, indicating a significant enhancement effect.Underground field strength tests demonstrated that using this new cementitious material with a binder-to-tailings ratio of 1∶10 can replace the cement-based mix design with a ratio of 1∶4.This is expected to reduce the backfilling cost by approximately 52.5 RMB per cubic meter, providing crucial technical support for the low-cost construction and operation of the total tailings paste backfill system at this vanadium mine.关键词
