摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of the Ω-shaped metal wire support combined with partial nail resection in the treatment of patients with ingrown toenail-induced paronychia.Methods 45 pa-tients with ingrown toenail-induced paronychia admitted to Hunan Aerospace Hospital from January 2025 to March 2025 were selected as the control group and treated with total nail avulsion.And 48 patients admitted from April 2025 to June 2025 were treated with the Ω-shaped metal wire support combined with partial nail resection as the observation group.The operative time,wound healing time,changes of postoperative pain level,healing rate,3-month postoperative complication rate and patient satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups.Results The observation group demonstrated shorter postoperative time and wound healing time,along with lower rates of postoperative complications,recurrence,and VAS scores(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of Ω-shaped metal wire support combined with partial excision of the ingrown nail in patients with ingrown toenail-induced paronychia can effectively reduce postoperative pain,decrease the incidence of complications and recurrence rates,and facilitate early recovery.
