Progress on neuroprotective effects and mechanisms of sesquiterpene lactones
摘要
Abstract
Sesquiterpene lactones are a diverse class of natural compounds predominantly found in the asteraceae family,with extensive sources in traditional herbal medicines.These com-pounds are characterized by three isoprene units and have been recognized for their wide range of biological activities,includ-ing antitumor,antiviral,antibacterial,and antidiabetic proper-ties.Recent cellular and animal studies have increasingly high-lighted the neuroprotective effects of sesquiterpene lactones.This review aims to summarize and critically evaluate the latest advancements in the neuroprotective mechanisms of SLs,pro-viding valuable insights for the further research and develop-ment of SLs-based therapeutic agents.关键词
